Last year I decided to not plan for any resolutions, instead, go with the flow- it was refreshing and different from the usual penning down my resolutions. However, this year I am back at it :)- sometimes we need to write down our goals and keep coming back to them during the year to remind ourselves of them

My strategy is to have 5 big goals and then those broken down into easier steps. Here goes the list for 2023 :

  1. Boundaries: Once you learn your boundaries, your whole life shifts. Your relations get better (the ones that matter)/ and the ones that don’t, fade away. You start to respect yourself and others more. Life becomes more satisfying. Work with your therapist if needed and evaluate where or with who you need better boundaries. Love yourself first <3
  2. Volunteer: I once heard the secret to happiness is to be in service of others. I agree 100%… It is so soul-satisfying to be helping a person in need. Besides the daily kindness or opening the door, smiling at someone, striking up a small conversation.. go and volunteer at your local soup kitchen, homeless shelter, refugee NGOs, or whatever you seem to care about. Volunteer at least 1 in 2 months.. that’s the minimum.
  3. No spend days: Ok, I’m guilty of this. I spend every day… something always comes up. But with the recession expected in 2023, let’s become more mindful and strategic with our spending. Have no spend days and only buy things that you need. If you want something, wait for 3 days before purchasing.. It works! Whenever I wait those 3 days I end up not even purchasing.
  4. Get moving: When it comes to exercise I’m the laziest person. Seriously! City living helps me get my steps in though. Every day, get out for 30 mins to 1 hour and just brisk walk. Nothing too crazy, get those steps in, and get that body moving! We need to start in our 30s if you haven’t already… I don’t know about you all, but my body is definitely not the same as it was in my 20s.
  5. Go for it: Was there ever something you wanted to do and never got to it? Maybe a trip to Paris? Do it! Go for your masters? Go for it! Change your career- find a mentor and take that step.
  6. Believe in yourself. I am here to remind you if you need a reminder (message me) – after a year either you would’ve done the thing you always wanted to or you wouldn’t have. Don’t let negative thoughts or too much thinking deter you from your dreams. You can manage it and things will fall into place once you make the decision. Manifest, believe, and live it, my queen!

 Love xx
